Double Elephant Print Workshop is an open-access community-based printmaking studio available to anyone; professional printmakers, artists and beginners alike. We encourage creativity and artistic development through a friendly and welcoming approach, whilst our resources, equipment and tuition reach the highest professional standards. We provide:
- Resources and support for professional, semi-professional and emergent artists.
- Workshops in a range of print processes for suitable for complete beginners to experienced printmakers.
- Outreach in a range of settings, including schools, community centres, playdays, hospitals and art groups.

Teacher Twilight Training Sessions
Printmaking without a Press
Tuesday 17 Jan or Tues 10 Jul / 4.30 –7pm / £40
Come and get lots of tips on how to use printmaking in classroom, without using a press. Ideal for those new to
printmaking or those in need of renewed inspiration. This is a very hands-on session. We'll explore roller prints, stamps,
monoprinting and simple collagraph, and printing onto fabric as well as paper. This is suitable for teachers of any age
group. Light refreshments/ information handouts included.
Printmaking Playtime
Tuesday 26 June /4.30 –7pm / £40
For those with some experience of printmaking, come and refresh your memory. Return to school with new ideas
and renewed confidence to do printmaking with your students in the classroom. We'll focus on using a press, so
this is ideal for those with access to one, or those planning to bring Double Elephant Outreach into school.
You'll be able to choose from Monoprinting, Drypoint & Collagraph. Our tutor will demonstrate each method and
you'll have the chance to practise with your choice. Light refreshments/ information handouts included.

We bring our portable presses and all the materials needed for fine art printmaking in your school, college or nursery.
We work regularly with children and young people from Foundation through to A-Level, and we adapt the workshop to
fit with your needs, curriculum-based or otherwise. Our expert tutors are also professional artists so bring a
perfect combination of technical-creative, with much experience of working with all ages and abilities.
Printmaking in your school can cover many printmaking methods, the most popular being monoprint, drypoint and collagraph.
The cost for a half day workshop is from £130 and a full day workshop is £250 –£320, depending
on the materials used. Workshops can be one-off or part of a series of developmental sessions.
